Hi Folks, today I’m sharing a new song that I wrote. To be fair, this is one of the 10 songs I wrote a while ago, but due to life I haven’t been able to record them yet. As John Lennon would say “Life happens while you’re busy making other plans”, and so it is.
Since I don’t want to leave the songs on the shelf (I’m certainly not planning to) and start putting the songs out in the world, I thought I begin to share one with you. I just took my guitar right out the case and started playing and singing. Afterwards I added the lyrics and some clips to convey the emotion and feeling of the song. I hope you like it.
Enjoy!

I love the lyrics especially, Klaus! It’s true for so many things. For me: Why get frustrated when getting older makes it harder to get proficient at learning to play your instruments? Enjoy what you’ve learned so far and be happy that you can keep on going yet and that you enjoy doing it. Don’t look back and think you wasted your time before, because you were busy doing important things then, and the results you must leave with God who know why you did it.
Hey, that’s a good song to learn too, ” Don’t worry, be happy :)”
I will be trying your tutorial for your song. You’ve got a really nice intro, though I’m not very good with the guitar pick. I usually just use my fingers, because my voice can’t get over the guitar otherwise :/

Hi Inger,
Indeed never look back on what “you think” you’ve missed, because there you did other things that were important at the time that lead you were you are now.
We can’t control life but you can try to enjoy whatever moment is in front of you and being fully aware it instead of letting it pass you by and being caught up
in the mind.
As regards to the guitar pick, you could try using a softer pick, play more from the wrist (instead of the elbow) and let the pick gently move across the strings and smoothly between your fingers.
You’ve got to experiment a bit to find the right way to strum across the strings without making it sound to harsh, it’s a good exercise to find that sweet spot.
You don’t always have to use a pick, but it’s good to mix it up a bit and try both techniques so you grow in your playing.
Best,
Klaus
