“You have to know all the notes on your guitar, you’ve got to know all the scales, you have to know all the ‘chords’ and make sure you do that stuff as much as possible” – Joe Satriani
Today I’m happy to announce “The 150 Essential Chords” free Ebook.
I worked hard and passionately to create a good organized, categorized and easy to read chord book.
The book contains 33 pages packed with the most essential chords for you to behold, study and save for future reference.
Each page has a clear overview and a nice layout so you get a good sense of the overall picture.
Starting with basic major & minor chords, sus4, sus2, 7ths, major 7ths, barre chords etc. and then gradually building up to more advanced chords such as 9ths, 11ths, 13ths and many more.
The book is not too big and not too small. Perfect to save on your desktop, notebook, IPad or Smart Phone to make it accessible from anywhere. Now you can memorize your chords anytime you want.
Tip: If you want to study and memorize all the chords in the book than the fastest and most efficient way to go is to incorporate them in the songs you are playing. Speak out the name of every chord you are playing over and over again. It really works!

Hello Klaus.
I just wanted to say thank you for all the good work you are doing here.
I`m a beginner (playin since 1 1/2 years) and your site always provides me with interesting philosophical aspects about guitar-playing, as well as inspiring me with lessons whenever I feel too lazy to do that typical scale-work and just want to give my fingers a nice ride.
So thank you and my keep on your good work.
You are really inspiring.
THX
Daniel
Klaus Crow says
Hi Daniel,
Nice to hear you like the philosophical parts of the blog as well. After all, motivation and inspiration are the backbone of guitar playing.
Keep up the scale work! :)
Kind regards,
Klaus Crow

Wow, this is amazing!
About five years ago I had to sell my guitar and amp due to some financial trouble. I had just begun to play and was so crestfallen when I ultimately had to give up something I loved so much.
But recently my employer graciously bought me a brand new Epiphone EJ-160E as a gift for becoming a Licensed Funeral Director. It’s been a long four years but I made it!
In that time I had pretty much forgotten all I knew about playing. I was a little frustrated at first when it seemed nothing would come back to me but then I found your website and it’s all finally clicked and I’m getting back into my groove! You make learning the guitar fun and easy with some really great tips not just for playing but for making yourself an all around better person. I love it and I guess I just wanted to say thank you!

hey klaus,
ive been teaching myself how to play guitar for about five/six years now and your website is helping me loads so thanks :)
Nii Adotey says
Recently, my urge for playing the guitar has been unbearable so I bought an acoustic. My problem is how to find a good teacher here in Ghana. I started a little over two week ago and can play the C, E, Em, A, Am, G, D, Dm and Csus7. However, I’m not so good at changing chord. I hope you can help me gain more experience with some tutorials. I don’t wish to be a guitar star though but want to have fun and play for my children( I dont have one yet) so I can make a star in them. Thank you and hope to hear from you!
Manda says
