I have to admit the iPad has made my life as a guitar player and guitar teacher a lot easier.
Having all the tools I need at hand from metronomes, tuners, jam tracks to music sheets, mp3s, videos, recording applications and writing tools. And the best thing about apps is that they are fast, efficient and effective.
The productivity apps are getting better and better and they are so useful for so many people including musicians. More and more I begin to wonder if there is anything that you can’t do with an ipad? :)
There are tons of great apps for a small price, but sometimes the best things in life are for free.

Not free, but Garageband is awesome for 5 bucks. Virtual instruments, loops and recording.

HI Greg,
Garageband is awesome indeed. I had to force myself not to include any paid apps in this post because there are so many awesome-ones.
I’ll write a post on that in the near future.

Just wanted so say thanks, I’m really enjoying the 50 Cool Blues Licks eBook, it’s helping keep me motivated to play every day.
Having something to work towards on the guitar is keeping me motivated, and I find that I’m falling in love with the instrument again. Once I’ve learned them, it’s fun to tweak the licks and give them my own fingerprints. Thanks, the eBook and accompanying materials are really put together well.
Be well,
Mitch

I really like Evernote app. It allows me to create books, like for example, Riffs, Solos, Songs To transcribe, Acoustic lessons, Electric lessons. In each book you can create sticky notes, schedule reminders, attach files or youtube links, audio, etc.
But The best of all is it’s browser plugin. So when you find something interesting, like some lesson, you just click on their button located aside the navbar, and you can save it in some evernote book, tag it. Awesome!
